The creation of Blue Owl Valuation began...

After Founder, Will Katz’, early part of his career in manufacturing and distribution operations, he had a mid-career shift in focus and came to realize that small businesses are generally much smaller than most people might believe. Almost 80% of the businesses in the US employ 5 or fewer people. Interestingly though, small businesses provide almost half of the total employment throughout the US.

For approximately 15 years, Will was the Regional Director of the Small Business Development Center at the University of Kansas. During that time, Will was introduced to the wide variety of business valuation needs that small businesses can have. Sometimes, it would be for lending support. Sometimes, the needs are related to gifting or estate tax issues. Often, access to professional valuation services was difficult for small business owners.

At Blue Owl Valuation, we believe that small business and entrepreneurship are powerful drivers of our economy. We think that informed small business owners make the best decisions. Our goal is to remove barriers to accessing high-quality, high-integrity professional valuation services. When you need to know what it's worth, we can help.

We're ready to support you.
